Uru v1.2 Patch Released
Gamershell.com has posted a patch for Uru. This can also be found at the Ubisoft site. And from Aquila on TheLyst: "It will also be downloaded if you use the Updater contained in the opening menu of your game." Thanks, Aquila.
GoGamer.com Has Uru on Sale (for 48 Hours) at $29.90
While this does not include the Myst Trilogy DVD set, it's still a good deal for those who have not purchased the game yet.

New Explorers Admitted to D'ni (Including me!)
From UruLive: "The DRC today admitted a new group of Explorers into the Ancient City. Though still very cautious due to the many dangers of the unexplored Cavern, this news shows that progress is ongoing in opening the site to the intrepid adventurers longing to enter. Dr. Watson of the DRC commented on the efforts: "We know that people are frustrated and want to get in to see the city. The worldwide response has been remarkable but not unanticipated. We'd love to be able to throw the doors wide so to speak, and we know we risk disappointing even our most ardent supporters, but we will not compromise the safety of any explorer. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing patience during this unprecedented restoration project."

News from the Prologue
"DRC opened Great Stair in City to explorers. - An Information Imager was put up in the Neighbourhoods by the DRC - these list information like most recent visitors and Ahyoheek top scores. - DRC members mingled with the explorers. Michael Engberg played Ahyoheek with a few explorers. - Phil Henderson appeared to a few explorers in Eder Kemo."

Interesting Article on Uru and Rand Miller
My favorite quote from Rand: '"You work on bytes so much that it's nice to get your hands on atoms every now and then," Miller said as he opened the first case of Uru from the publisher.' Click here to read the entire article.
There does seem to be some misgivings about the amount of money mentioned in the article. RAWA mentions on The Lyst: "I especially _love_ the part where we (Cyan) get the whole $250M of the Myst revenue, rather than just a percentage of that. (Developers usually get about 10-15%). I wish it were true, so we wouldn't have had to spend so much time trying to get funding for Uru. And I'd probably ask for a nice, big raise."
Ahyoheek Tables Installed in Most Neighborhoods
The DRC Site announces Ahyoheek tables open in most neighborhoods, as well as "Heek" tournaments. For those playing Uru Live, the top 10 scores will be announced daily and the top 5 will qualify for an upcoming tournament. Heek rules.
Also on the DRC site is a new painting, by Stephen Martiniere, in Celebration of the Coronation of King Kerath.
Uru Collector's Edition on eBay
The Collector's Edition mentioned on Friday has sold, to CAGrayWolf, for £55, which is about $94.

Beginning at 4pm local time on November 20th (US Mountain Standard Time) Dr. Watson will be visiting all open neighborhoods, answering questions that you have prepared for him. In order to be valid, the person asking the question must know the answer. Moderators will be present and give contest rules and details at the time of the contest. Awards will be given."

Uru Live Prologue Commences - DRC Announces first 500 invited to D'ni!
From UruLive: "The first group of explorers has been admitted into the Uru Live Prologue today. Explorers were chosen on a 'first come, first served' basis and are being asked to proceed with caution in the cavern. This much anticipated first public expedition into D'ni was announced today on the web site of the D'ni Restoration Council (DRC). "We want to ensure the cavern is safe for future visitors," said one DRC member. "It's an exciting time! We're letting people in as soon as we can." Additional explorers will be added in groups throughout this phase of the expedition dubbed "Uru Live Prologue." Those wishing to be included in future groups of explorers should be sure they have filled out an application here."

Uru and Myst DVD Shipping Separately
Katie Postma (Kha'tie) posted this to "The Lyst": "Please advise the community that the Ubisoft Store, in order to not hold up Uru players from getting their pre-order games, has shipped the rest of the Uru pre-orders on Friday WITHOUT the DVD. The DVD will go out to the customers most likely on Wed or Thurs of this week. Ubisoft will assume the extra shipping fees."

Uru Available in Stereo 3D (for Nvidia Graphics Card Owners)
Download your latest graphic drivers and restart. Then Download the 3D stereo drivers and restart again. To enable the 3D, you must left click on the desktop, click properties, go to settings, and click advanced. The top right tab should contain options for the stereo drivers! Prologue Delayed Until Next Week
For several reasons, the scheduled opening of Uru Live, beginning with The Prologue, has been delayed until next week. This gives those who have the game a chance to explore, and those who don't have the game get a short reprieve.

Uru To Be Available in Mid November
Ubisoft says that they'll start shipping Uru in the U.S. on November 11 and the game should reach retail stores around November 14. In Europe, the game will ship on November 13 and should be available in stores a few days later.
